Hey everybody, my name is Kendall Johnson. I'm a P3 student here at Mercer University's College of Pharmacy from Newnan, Georgia. And me and a couple of friends are going to take you on a tour of the new Moye Pharmacy and Health Sciences Center today.

Hi, my name is Adriana Peat and I'm a P3 student here at Mercy University. And I'm going to show you one of our classrooms.

So here we have our classroom where we have the majority of our pharmacotherapy classes, such as the central nervous system, and infectious diseases. We have rotating chairs where we can move the tables around, and we can also move the seats in groups where we have our team-based learning. We also have a multitude of screens -- Bigger screens in the front and smaller screens or on the side and whiteboards where we can go ahead and write down the information that we're learning.

Okay, so Mercer's College of Pharmacy actually has over a 100 year history here. It originally started as the Southern College of Pharmacy in Atlanta, and has now progressed on to have many, many students, and many, many alumni. On top of that, if you're applying here ever and want to come get a little [tour], you can see right here, the Admissions Office.

Hopefully, you might even see one of us here as a Student Ambassador welcoming you all in. Hi, my name is Melissa Simmons. I'm a P3 student here at Mercer University. And I'm also here from Atlanta, Georgia. Today, I'm going to show you the Admissions Office.

And this is where all Mercer Pharmacy students begin. Here is where you come for your interview here at Mercer University where you'll get to meet our wonderful Advisors, you'll have your interview here, where you'll get to see this facility, you'll try on your white coat for the very first time, and you will feel the energy that's here at Mercer University.

Right now, we're going to walk into our conference room, which you will become familiar with once you come here. And it's one of our state-of-the-art facilities that we have in our new building. And here we have our lounge area where the student is waiting between classes and we also can eat lunch here. This is where the Mercer Bears hangout.

Hello again, everybody. So on top of me being just a student here, I'm actually the Council of Students President. And so that's why I'm going to introduce the student organization room. In here, we can have meetings for any of our 18 student organizations, which cover pretty much any area of pharmacy that you can imagine. You get to be able to learn about different areas of pharmacy, practice professionalism, and get involved in all different kinds of activities, not just here on our campus, but all around the community and the country and with different national organizations holding meetings. So we hope you get involved!

Here, we have our simulation lab where you get hands-on experience working in a community environment, such as working with counters where you get to practice counting pills and counseling patients. We also have individual rooms where you can go in and practice counseling your patients, which you'll do once you graduate from Mercer. We also have their compounding section where you can actually work inside of the hood, compounding different formulas that will go to your patients. And it's all top of the line.

In here is where we have our student lounge. We have Keurig machines, a refrigerator, where you can store your food in between classes. We also have ice machines to fill up your water bottles. We have microwaves as well to heat up your food. We also have three different TV screens to go ahead and for you to marry your iPads or your laptop so you can study in between classes.

So now we're upstairs and this is where all of our faculty offices are. So to this side, we have the offices of the professors from the pharmaceutical sciences department, where you can learn all about the different research opportunities and labs and everything like that that we offer here.

And then over here to this side, we have the Dean's office where you can meet with the Dean and Associate Dean of the school, as well as the Offices for the Department of Experiential Education and the Clinical Sciences. So with the Office of Experiential Education, those are the ones that are in charge of all of your practice experiences where you'll get to go to community pharmacies, and hospital pharmacies all across Atlanta while you're here. And then all the Clinical Offices as well -- They also do plenty of research. So if that's something you're interested in, make sure to reach out to them.
