Living in Atlanta and Mercer 

  • Housing: On-campus Lofts and nearby apartments range from $1,100-$2,500+ per month.
  • Food: A variety of grocery stores (including Halal and Kosher) and restaurants are nearby. On-campus dining options are available.
  • Transportation: Free campus parking is available. Additionally, MARTA transit and shuttle services are accessible.
  • Cost of Living: Comparable to Athens, GA, and lower than many major metro areas.
  • Safety on Campus: Mercer Atlanta is one of the safest campuses in Georgia. Located in a quiet, secure area away from downtown Atlanta, we have 24/7 campus police presence and emergency “blue phones” all over campus.
  • Amenities: The Mercer Atlanta campus is home to several colleges and graduate programs in the Mercer system, with approximately 2,000 students. On campus, we have a clinic, student support services, a fitness center, library, and more.
  • Activities: There are several campus-wide groups, organizations and clubs for your interests beyond the classroom.

More Questions Answered

  • Do you have an online learning program? At this time, Mercer does not offer pharmacy classes online. 
  • Can I work while pursuing my degree? We have several students who work full and part-time jobs while earning their PharmD. However, earning this degree can be rigorous, and you have to determine for yourself if that's possible.  
  • Where can I study? With your "Bear Card," you'll have access to the Swilley Library on campus. In addition, you can take advantage of Mercer's satellite locations in Henry and Douglas counties.
