Admission Questions Answered

Can I enroll right out of high school?

No. You’ll need to take several pre-requisite college courses. See the current list here. \

Do you admit transfer students?

Transfers are taken on a case-by-case basis. Contact our admissions department for more information.

What is PharmCAS? Can I just apply directly to Mercer?

PharmCAS is the clearinghouse application service for most pharmacy schools, similar to GAFutures. This is the only way to apply to pharmacy school.

I’m an international student. How do I apply?

You’ll need to submit the following to PharmCAS:

  • Official transcripts
  • At least two letters of reference. Recommendations from pharmacists and college-level professors are preferred.
  • The Pharmacy College Admissions Test (PCAT) is not required.
  • International students (or domestic students with credentials from institutions outside the United States):

You are required to have those credentials evaluated by a professional evaluation service. This must include an analysis of courses, grades, grade point average, and U.S. degree equivalency. Mercer University accepts evaluations from World Education Services. An official evaluation report must be sent to PharmCAS for inclusion in your application.
